"Valerio, but in your opinion, am I better off targeting Clickfunnels or Kajabi to get my business off the ground?"
"Creating and testing marketing funnels is my main occupation, but I would also like to start selling online courses on the topic. What platform do you recommend?"
"I need to build a landing page to promote my consultations, but I don't know where to start. Can you explain to me what is the difference between Kajabi and Clickfunnels?"
These are just some of the questions I receive almost daily from consultants and digital entrepreneurs with confused ideas about what to do. I therefore thought of To compare the two most widely used tools in the world of online sales, that is. Clickfunnels e Kajabi, to see how they fare.
From this study-and from my years of experience in the field-was born the guide you are reading.
In the next few paragraphs you'll find pros and cons of both tools, the main differences, a brief reflection on the cost of each, and, most importantly, you'll find all the answers you're looking for to figure out which of these will be your ideal online platform. So come on, let's get right to it.
Clickfunnels and Kajabi: what are they? What are they used for?
Let's start with the basics: the first is a powerful sales tool designed to create foolproof marketing funnels. The second, on the other hand, is simply the best platform all-in-one Of online marketing there is.
The main difference is that one of the two tools specializes in creating sales paths (Clickfunnels), while the other (Kajabi) allows you to manage a slew of different features from the same dashboard.
In fact, with Kajabi you can launch, push and grow your online business thanks to the services the platform provides: e-mail marketing, automations, course area, membership management, having your site online in a few hours and much more.
"But if Kajabi is so comprehensive, why would I even consider a tool like Clickfunnels?"
The answer, in fact, is very simple: there is no solution passe-partout Suitable for all kinds of businesses around.
Accordingly, the choice between Kajabi and Clickfunnels. will depend on the type of business you conduct and the goals you intend to achieve, including choosing how you want to curate your online image.
If you want to increase sales of physical products or digital products you already have hosted somewhere, I suggest you target Clickfunnels.
This way you can design an effective marketing funnel and excellent landing pages tailored to attract potential customers and convince them to buy your services.
If, on the other hand, your goal is also to build a strong online presence and devote yourself to the creation of online courses, I recommend that you choose Kajabi without a second thought.
What are the PROs of Clickfunnels?
What I list below are, in my opinion, the main merits of the funnel builder most famous of all:
- It is a great editor for building landing pages.
- He specializes in the creation of marketing funnel.
- It is a very serious company with more than 114,500 users worldwide.
The great thing about this tool is that it provides you with the examples of ready-made landing pages, which you can customize according to your needs.
If you have never created anything like this before, you will certainly find it useful to use one of the templates in the dashboard. Alternatively, you can create your funnel or landing page from scratch, adding the necessary pages and taking care of the copy down to the smallest detail.
But it doesn't end there. In fact, with Clickfunnels, you have the opportunity to create opt-in pages, plan the launch of your products and build sales page respectable.
In short, if your goal is to sell products (such as a book or a live event) or consultations, Clickfunnels will provide you with all the tools to be able to do so and achieve excellent results.
And what, on the other hand, are the CONs of Clickfunnels?
As I mentioned, Clickfunnels is a platform that specializes in creating sales pathways.
Russell Brunson and Todd Dickerson, the two founders, tried to add more features to the tool to expand its functionality, but with little result.
What I am about to list are the most obvious defects of the platform:
- Some features, such as the course area, are not well implemented.
- Clickfunnels has remained the same for the past five years; no innovation has been made.
- You will have to use external platforms to support certain features (such as video hosting or email marketing) resulting in a considerable increase in your costs.
This last point, in particular, is a sore point for those involved in video courses.
Clickfunnels, in fact, cannot host the videos of the various lessons within the platform. You will then have to upload the various videos you need either to a cloud or to a personal web space, so you will find yourself always having to use two different tools instead of one.
For example, you will have to use YOUTUBE--really unprofessional and with the risk of showing your competitors' advertisements--or WISTIA or VIMEO, which have listings (especially the former) that are not exactly cheap.
I don't know about you, but I find these flaws a little too limiting.
Clickfunnels is a great tool for building marketing funnel aimed at conversion and Effective landing pages, is probably the best on the market.
It is super easy to use, ideal for those who do not have much experience and are taking their first steps in web marketing.
However, if you need a more comprehensive tool that goes beyond the basic functionality that Clickfunnels can offer you, you might want to go all in on Kajabi.
What are the advantages of Kajabi?
The first thing you need to know about this platform is that it is an integrated system designed to work in harmony with all its elements.
Kajabi is a tool all-in-one That allows you to take care of different aspects of your business using a single dashboard.
No longer will you be forced to go crazy between a thousand different platforms, such as those for managing mailing lists and autoresponders, or those dedicated to memberships and managing your site, blog and landing page.
With Kajabi you have everything under the same control panel, a detail that greatly improves (and simplifies) your life and being all there, you can be sure that everything works and integrates perfectly.
You can stop using Zapier or other platforms to link one marketing tool to another.
This, to me, is the main benefit the platform offers its users.
The others are:
- Planned integrations work perfectly (ex: Stripe, PayPal).
- You will not need to purchase additional tools to conduct your business.
- The platform is used by top players in the market, from Brendon Burchard to Frank Kern.
- It is continuously improved and updated with new features Leaving its price unchanged.
- It provides you with a free mobile app to help you engage your customers even more and increase loyalty. Want to know how? Take a look at this article I wrote some time ago.
Not to mention that the customer support team is trained, efficient and always available to solve any problem.
Not bad, is it?
With these premises, Kajabi seems to have all the credentials to win the comparison with Clickfunnels. Yet, a few flaws it has (nobody's perfect!).
Kajabi's interface is extremely clean and uncluttered
The disadvantages of Kajabi
The cons of the platform are mostly related to the economic fact, but we will talk more about that in a moment.
To be honest, I struggle a bit to identify potential flaws in Kajabi because I have been using it for a lot of years and it has always allowed me to achieve all the goals I have set for myself.
However, I must acknowledge that there are some elements that could be improved:
- It does not specialize in creating marketing funnels as Clickfunnels does.
- It does not allow you to create custom certifications to be delivered to students who birthday a course (but neither does Clickfunnels!).
- You have to get used to the idea of running the whole business with one tool.
- It may seem expensive, but the value for money is great-you have so much at a super affordable cost.
Consider that once you purchase one of the Kajabi plans, you will not need any other tools to carry on your business.
In this regard, I recommend investing in the Growth plan: with $199 per month (about €160) you will have a wide range of features to leverage to grow your business, and here you can find the details of my bonuses If you sign up for a free trial.
Let's talk about prices: how much do Kajabi and Clickfunnels cost?
You know, price is often that deciding factor that makes you choose one product or service over another.
Be careful, however: do not make the mistake of making a decision based solely on this, without taking into account all the features (and limitations) of the products you are analyzing.
The basic package of Clickfunnels costs $97 per month, while that of Kajabi stands at $149 per month.
What is the difference between the two?
The first allows you to create up to 20 funnels, 100 pages and manage 3 domains. The second, on the other hand, gives you the ability to build unlimited landing pages, send endless marketing mails, manage 1,000 active members and create 3 different products.
Kajabi puts his top features available to its users from the beginning (albeit with several limitations), while Clickfunnels chose not to include services such as the Follow-up Funnel and the Weekly Peer Review Hackathons In the basic plan.
Let us now see how the more advanced packages: the plan Platinum by Clickfunnels coast $297 per month, while Kajabi's Growth plan costs. $199 per month.
There is also an additional option called Pro, which Kajabi sells at a cost of $399 per month that is worth considering if you have to manage three different companies, in fact with this plan you have 3 separate and autonomous installations of Kajabi.
Keep in mind that the Platinum version of Clickfunnels adds nothing to the features already present in the basic package with respect to the videos, site, blog, and course area that continue to be completely missing or severely lacking.
In addition, this more expensive plan than Clickfunnels, allows you to integrate a "e-mail marketing engine" but not the submission itself, which must necessarily be completed through an external platform (Sendgrid, for example) that has a separate cost, which is not cheap at all.
Lastly, earnings on memberships are counted in dollars, not euros.
Conclusions
So who comes out on top between Kajabi and Clickfunnels?
As I told you at the beginning of the article, a lot depends on the goals you intend to achieve with your business.
If your goal is to increase e-commerce sales, or gather leads for your next product launch, I suggest you target Clickfunnels (especially if you are new to this type of business).
If, on the other hand, your business revolves around online course building or consulting, choose Kajabi with its Growth plan which has, for years now, been considered by all PROs to be the best online course platform.
Such a tool will allow you to run your business like never before and it has the best value for money, not least the fact that it includes for all your clients, a fantastic smartphone app, at no extra cost.

Final confession.
I started my online web marketing business right with Kajabi and Clickfunnels. Together.
In the beginning Kajabi had none of the functionality that Clickfunnels has for creating an effective landing page or marketing funnel, but over time so many tools and utilities were added that made Clickfunnels superfluous and a cost I could avoid incurring.
Again, Clickfunnels is great, but it only does one thing.
Kajabi turns all of Valerio.it's business around - everything!
